1. Petitions on GAFCON

There are now three online petitions which have been set up after the conference at All Souls Langham Place which met yesterday, see here and here for more detail. By signing we can declare our solidarity with the Jerusalem Declaration and Statement on the Global Anglican Future. Click here to read the Declaration and Statement. Thanks to John Richardson. Here are the links to the petitions:

  1. For English Individual Members of the Church of England
  2. For non-English Individuals
  3. For Anglican Groups and Organisations

2. Petition on Women Bishops

Not long left now before the Church of England’s General Synod (4th-6th July 2008). John Richardson has set up a petition on the issue of women and the episcopate which will be presented to the House of Bishops. You might like to sign if you hold a biblical complementarian view of women’s ministry. Encouragingly there are now over 1000 signatories. John Richardson has written explaining what the issue is about: Online petition against ‘Single Clause’ option on women bishops passes 1,000 signatures. Click here to sign the petition. [UPDATE 09/07/08: This petition is now closed]
