Recently, Rev’d Dr J.I. Packer spoke at a meeting held on 24th June 2008 at Holy Trinity, Eastbourne to share some lessons he has learnt from the problems he and others have faced in the Anglican Church in Canada. Dr Packer’s talk and question time are both available on the Holy Trinity, Eastbourne sermons page.

A useful and interesting talk which opens with some very helpful definitions of important terms, (Orthodoxy, Anglicanism, Liberalism & Homosexuality), that are being used regularly (and possibly differently!) by people in the Church and media. Dr. Packer explained he thought the current crisis was the most serious the Anglican Church has faced since the Reformation (1500s).

Update 11/07/08: Hugh Bourne was there and took some notes. (HT: Dan Green)
